Ai to Yuuki no Pig Girl Tonde Buurin

Plot Summary: “Look! In the sky…It’s a bird…It’s a plane…It’s Super Pig?!”

One fateful day, Karin, a junior-high student, found what she thought was an injured piglet. However, the piglet was just exhausted from hunger. After the piglet regained his health by eating Karin’s apple, he revealed that he is a prince, Tonrariano III, from a planet called Booringo. Tonrariano wanted to reward Karin for helping him and so he transformed her into a pig with superpowers. Karin was not at all pleased with the gift because she wanted to become a pretty superheroine like “Cutey Chao” (a parody of Cutey Honey), not Super Pig. Reluctantly, she became more interested in her role as Super Pig when she found out that she can turn into someone like “Cutey Chao” if she can collect 108 pearls through doing good deeds for other people.

Will you ever finish this? Please, do! I saw on AniDB that this project is stalled, and I’m so scared that it will never go on! I grew up watching this anime on the Italian Fox Kids. Now the original Italian dub is lost forever, and one can only find the first six episodes of Tonde Buurin subbed in English on the internet (those done by you). Please, don’t leave this uncomplete!

It’s so nice to see a fellow Italian Super Pig fan! I used to watch this series back when almost no one had satellite television in Italy, and Fox Kids aired it only up to 2004, which is why this series is so much unknown and no one kept tapes of it 😦

The only things I could find related to the Italian dub are the opening, and a list of some of the dubbers. It’s such a shame…

Anyways, the last subbed episode (the seventh one) was apparently released by this group on December, and their last post was in…January of this year. I’m starting to get worried 😦

Gosh, I don’t know anyone who watched Super Pig here °^°
      It’s a pleasure! eheh

As for me I’ve only found the first dvd of the Italian dubbing, that should contain the first 3 episodes, on Ebay and Amazon. MEH ヽ( ̄д ̄;)ノ

It is a collaboration between the two fansubber group, isn’t it? I wonder why only one of them updated the episode.

Anyway it’s strange to talk to a compatriot in another language ahah

Well Liccafansubs apparently does most of the translation work, so that could be it.

Also, where did you find that DVD? I’d be interested, if only out of curiosity.

        Also, it’s strange indeed!

      • Lagru says:

Everyone else seems to be from Italy! I watched this as a child in New Zealand; we had the Saban version on tv here. =-)
